If flying Palomar, always make sure your group checks in with Pala Security for LZ & Main Launch use. Also if using the Upper Launch, always call or text John Smiley before arriving at the site . Do not assume others have called in without talking and coordinating even on fly-in days.

Hi SDHGPA, we have had a couple of gliders recently who have not called in advance. The last one was annoying because its hunting season and here was a truck parked on our road. I was late for something up the mountain and had to stop and ID the car, check the launch site, call Kim, etc. (see photos).
Anyway please remind your flyers to call or text me before arriving at the site. Joel and Sonie have moved up to the observatory so calling them is no longer appropriate.
