The Cutca Fire remains at 167 acres with 80% containment. No fire growth was experienced last night. Expected final containment date is 7/31, but is subject to change based on weather conditions and progress.
The TFR that includes Palomar Main and Smiley Launches remains in effect until Sat Aug 1st at 1pm to support Hot Shot fire mop up operations due to the fire line being in inaccessible steep terrain areas. |

TFR remains in effect, and would expect it to remain until at least Wednesday July 29th.
Before Flying Palomar: Check Sky Vector & the FAA TFR Page. The Fire is due north of the Observatory. As of Monday morning the fire is 50 contained and is not fast moving but still now burning to the East.
