The SDHGPA has recently installed a new style of Horizontal Windsock in various locations at Palomar and are planning to install them this season at some of our other main sites as a trial. We will also try to maintain them throughout the year. If we find that they have a reasonable service life, we will continue to install and maintain this style of windsock at our high use sites. However some sites like Laguna, we are not allowed to leave pertinent windsocks and or we have not found anything to stand up to the harsh conditions there and Horse for more than a month or 2 in the past. We may provide a few Windsocks to key individuals that fly those sites regularly to erect for day use purposes. We will see how this evaluation period goes.
